A better way to commemorate?
I watched with a little dismay this evening, a report on RTE news: an item about a new warship being built, called the "New York", whose prow contains metal salvaged from the rubble of the World Trade Centre buildings.
I'm all for recycling, but a warship?
Wouldn't a school, or a hospital, or a park have been a better use of these materials - something to show that life is more important than weaponry? I think that would have been a better tribute.
