While doing vacuuming at home, I listen to podcasts - turning a fairly boring activity into something a lot more interesting. Today's one was Peter Cochrane talking about the future, in a keynote at the Emerging Telephony conference: absolutely wonderful stuff, and well worth listening to if you've got time.

A little dreaming about the future of technology is definitely a good thing, and indeed is a future career goal of mine: being able to sit on bean bags and think up interesting uses for technology sounds like the perfect job. I've a long way to go however - last night I was dreaming about scuba-diving cats. No, I've no idea what that was about either...
