Photographers deal in things which are continually vanishing and when they have vanished there is no contrivance on earth which can make them come back again.
Indeed. He was a great photographer. I had serveral photographer friends (including my wife) who introduced me to his work some 20 years ago. I always thought he had already passed away and had no idea he was still alive. I'm sure the Economist will do a review of his work in their traditional weekly obituary. We'll have to see.
