Welcome and stuff
Hello and welcome to my blog. My name is Tim Haley, and I work in the
Solaris RAS (Reliability, Availability, and Servicability) group. I've
been with Sun Microsystems almost 13 years now, working on various
Solaris projects. It all started with the original port of Solaris 2.1
to x86 (yes, Solaris has been running on x86 since 1992!). Along the
way I've worked on a token ring network driver, x86 boot (
RIP), ufs, pcfs and
many other things. I was a member of the gate-keeping staff for
Solaris 9 and have spent the last couple of years working on parts of
the Solaris
