ブレイクアウトの合間, 次のセッションへ向かう途中にふとデモ・コーナーを見てみると, そこにはハードウェアと並んで, 次期バージョンのディレクトリ・サーバにて提供予定の管理コンソールのデモがあった.

これまで Directory Server や Directory Proxy Server の管理ツールは専用のクライアント・アプリケーション (Sun Java System Console) だったけど, 次のバージョンからはこれらの管理が Web インタフェースからできるようになる. ディレクトリ・サーバのインスタンスの追加やレプリケーション設定, さらにディレクトリ・プロクシの負荷分散比率やフィルタリングの設定をみせてもらった感じでは, これまでより相当わかりやすくなってるようだ.
