Guys,

I'm posting some links and my presentation I made with my friend Ambassador Marcelo Arbore in CONISLI 2008, as promised for the staff present at the event.

The CONISLI 2008 (International Congress of Free Software) is an event of technical content and instructive, with a focus on software development, infrastructure and security, strengthening the Community of Free Software. It happened at the end of week days 18/10 and 19/10 on the day FIAP - Faculty of Information Technology and Administration Paulista.

We made a presentation on the project OpenSolaris, distribute some CDs of OpenSolaris for staff use.

Day Sept. 20 was the Software Freedom Day (SFD).

And to commemorate this day, organized the SFD in my college, was on September 20 that (Saturday), the event is extended from 13 to 16 hrs.

The focus of the event was demonstrating the technology free with an emphasis on technology from Sun Microsystems that is the pioneer and the largest investor in OpenSource technologies in the world.

The start of the event was marked with my presentation on the SFD in the world. We discussed several points on benefits of students using open technologies.

The event had the presence of Bruno Souza (JavaMan) Evangelist and Director of the OSI (Open Source Initiative). The Bruno spoke on Open Source and distributed pens and shirts the Open Source Community. It was a very interesting lecture and all present were very interested.
