Apple and Java
Why has Apple been dragging their feet on JDK 6 and all other java updates?
Why haven't they updated their JDK in some time?
Should we expect that only with the next release of the fabled OS (Leopard) that AppleJava will update to its Windows/Linux/Solaris/any other OS version equivalent?
I really, really like using my Apple products. I really, really hate not being able to do something only because of a lack of Apples JDK, or finding bugs that exist only with the AppleJDK.
I know there are more of you out there. Let it be known. Apple JDK is very sub par. My understanding is that Apple has no intention of being a java partner, WTF?
JAVA is not only the most prolific cross anything language ever, but, Apple wants nothing to do with it.
How You Can Help:
Become an Apple developer: http://developer.apple.com/bugreporter/
Then log bugs you find against the Apple JDK
