Following on from my previous BPEL Monitoring Blog entries I have
tweaked, yet again, the web application and some of the underlying SVG
Generation code. These tweaks are relatively minor but hopefully
provide the user with some useful additional functionality. A quick 5
minute video can be seen at the end of this blog to demonstrate the
functionality now available.
Additional Functionality
The key functionality changes to the web application have been added
to improve the overall look and feel of the simple monitor and allow my
Pre-Sales Colleagues to demonstrate monitoring functionality with Open
ESB and GlassFishESB before the official realse of the GlassFishESB
Monitor.
The following is a brief list of the new features:
- Full Ajax support - The page will not refresh from the server (i.e. re-read the page) until the user Refreshes in the Browser. The displayed data is refreshed locally using Ajax and JavaScript with the result that the images (svg) does not flash.
- Additional "Dashboard" tab that provides a summary of all running processes displaying information for Completed, Running, Suspended, Faulted and Terminated.
- Process Monitor Tab and been further Split to Display either Summary information for the Process or a list or Instances.

At the moment the hyperlinks on the Activities do nothing more than select the row. I intend to extend the page to display information about the selected Activity (it's just getting the time) such as performance statistics.
