Serverwatch give Solaris 10 (Beta 72) four stars out of five

Serverwatch put up a brief summary of their review of Solaris Express.

Looks like did pretty well overall, and perhaps would have done better if not for the reviewers belief that you could not install it with other Operating Systems.

I'm not quite sure about why that last link points to the trusted Solaris homepage, but Oh well. The description looks like it may have been a cut and paste as well as the article discusses x86 and opteron.

Comments:

Their list of new features is a little short, their leaving a tons of good things off, the service management framework is amazing, the security improvements are great, various added crypto framework support, all the massive ptools improvements, on and on and on. I think they have a fairly narrow minded view of the operating enviroment... sounds more like "Workstation Watch" than "Server Watch" to me. The fact that the article dwells so much on the install alone makes me a little leary in general. For shame "Server"watch.
