Sony announced today at GDC'07 they are entering the 3D Virtual World market with the PS3 "PlayStation Home" service. With SecondLife, There, Active Worlds, Kaneva, and now PlayStation Home, we may be looking at a significant shift in GUI design that may fundamentally change the way users access and experience applications in the emerging 3D Web.  Powerful GPUs can now be used to deliver a richer and enhanced 3D Virtual World immersing experience for the Web.
