We'd like to think it's a bit of a local derby too. For nearly 30 years the a Gurkha regiment was based at Church Crookham, just a shortish stones throw from where Sun UK is based, here at Guillemont Park. To make it all more involved, the Guillemont Park campus is built on the site of the form Guillemont Barracks, home to the Royal Engineers.
We're well connected, if nothing else!
We've yet to re-calculate our total so far, but we're doing really well, thanks to a lot of donations from the Guillemont-based staff.
More updates later in the week...
Hi there, I was a training NCO at Guillemont barracks back in 1955/58.
It has so many memories for me that I decided to look on the 'Web' to see of any changes, Hawley Lake was also a part of our training area at that time, I was not surprised to see the barracks no longer there after all this time, but I will keep my fond memories of the place for the rest of my life. I'm so glad that good use has been made of the area, thanks for your web site.
sincerely,
Ken.
