OpenGrok v0.7 beta is out
I have just released the first beta of the next version of OpenGrok, and we really need people to test it out and report bugs. You can download it from the files section on the project page at http://www.opensolaris.org/os/project/opengrok/files/.
Please help us make this the best OpenGrok release so far!

I would like to upgrade but we have had to make some modifications to our version to support our needs:
1. We added a fortran analyzer which we would be glad to contribute back if someone can merge in the code.
2. We have had to add support for proprietary extensions that map to existing analyzers, e.g. a ".gob" file is C code, and a ".gobxml" file is an XML file
3. We are also interested in a Javascript analyzer.
Is it possible for these changes #1 and #2 to be absorbed into the opengrok source code so that merging will not be required ?

If you sign the contributors agreement (see http://opensolaris.org/os/about/sun_contributor_agreement/ ) and mail me the patch, I'll be happy to look at it and integrate it into the repository.

Will do. It may take a bit as I have to go through legal here but I don't think that will be a problem. I'll contact you when that is done and then I will mail you the files. Can you email me your address ?
