Writing Portlets isn't a Nightmare !!!

When I was first assigned to a project that involves writing portlets and deploying them ,it was a real nightmare for me .I had no idea of how a portlet program should be ,how to create a deployment descriptor ,no idea on packaging and deploying the portlets. But thanks to Netbeans Portlet Plug-in ,it has made portlet creation as easy as writing a normal java program. With the Netbeans IDE ,portlet building and deploying involves just a few mouse clicks .You can find my basic tutorial for freshmen on how to create and deploy portlets with Netbeans IDE and Java Application Platform SDK Update3 Preview here.

The Java Application Platform SDK Update 3 Preview now comes with the Portlet Container 1.0 version which includes a Portlet Driver to deploy and test the portlets.
