Does business jargon irritate you? You are not alone!

Thanks to Sun Communicator's Blog with the same title, I went on to explore the Boston Business Journal poll. The reader comments are quite interesting. Here is my list of irritating business jargon:

  • Bucket
  • Data point
  • End of the day
  • I have a few cycles left
  • Out of the box

As south asia ends the week in style, here is a picture and a quote for the weekend. Bangalore cooled off last weekend after heavy showers. Will it rain this weekend?

If you are in India, or if you are following India news - you would not have missed this news. The biggest celebrity (bollywood) wedding this year. The biggest wedding in India this year by all means. Aishwarya Rai, former Miss World is marrying Abhishek Bachchan. This wedding is happening RIGHT NOW! The Indian media is sparing no efforts to bring this news to every Indian drawing room.

If you are residing in Bangalore, you must have been to this site already:

http://www.bangalorepotholes.com/

This is a good site to locate potholes (or craters in some cases) on the city roads. I am not sure if civic authorities are actually looking into this. Lately, this site also has links to other civic problems that citizens can report. This is a good site, although I think that the civic authorities must have taken the lead to make it easier for citizens to report problems to them. In any city or town, enlightened and bold citizens are needed to question things happening in their place.

CNN-IBN carried an interesting article on how to be eco-friendly, and at the same time how to save fuel when you are behind the wheels. The article is posted here.

Find out how you can contribute to Bangalore's heritage awareness and activism.

Here is an interesting I came across sometime back. It is called ExtraBed.in. Bloggers offer their space (rooms to stay) to fellow bloggers coming in from other cities. In return, when these bloggers to go other cities, they are offered space (rooms to stay).

I think this is a good initiative. But, I am not sure if everyone would be comfortable opening their homes to "strangers". What do you think?

I went to Coimbatore (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Coimbatore) this weekend to visit by sister and brother-in-law. The city is still green! Welcome relief for me driving from Bangalore!
