Cut and Paste
Until 10 years before, "cut and paste" was a cumbersome activity. You will need to actually use a pair of scissors, cut a section of article you want, and carefully paste it in your scrapbook. A good quality glue ensures that you do the paste operation successfully. Of course, as years go by, you can't be sure of maintaining your piece of work. The paper just degrades.
Now, when you talk of "cut and paste", you don't think about scissors or glue. You just think about CTRL-X and CTRL-V. Just imagine a world without "cut and paste". One can't imagine typing things again, even if you are just talking about 50 words. Imagine again, a world where photocopying did not exist. Hard to even imagine...! Sometimes, these little things that we take for granted prove to be extremely useful to us as we go through our life.
Today, scrapbook reminds us of it's Orkut equivalent :-)
