STC India's premier job event, called the Career Day was held on Saturday, July 28 in Bangalore. Ten sponsoring companies had put up stalls, and about 130 technical writers participated. Each company got 15 minutes to talk about their job openings, work culture, and what they had to offer for potential employees. In addition, sessions on resume writing and technical writing salaries were conducted. There was a panel discussion on career path for technical writers.

We received positive feedback from those who attended the event. I am feeling happy as I was part of the organizing committee myself (along with Anu C and Michelle). This feedback was sent to Anu C and she forwarded.

  • The  STC career day was a great experience and lot of learning. I must not forget to say the event was very well organised and welcoming. I know it must have taken relentless efforts from you and your team [Ramanjeet Singh].
  • Saturday's programme was fantastic. Nice effort from your side. Keep it up [Jaimon Mathew].
