STC India's 9th Conference in GOA - Call for proposals
Dates: October 25-27, 2007
Big things are happening in one of India's smallest and most chilled out state this October! STC India's 9th Annual Conference takes on a carnival hue in Goa with the largest annual gathering of the technical communication community in India. Over the last eight years, the conference has emerged as the premier learning, sharing, and networking forum for Indian technical communication professionals.
Join the party now by submitting proposals for conference learning and sharing sessions. We are looking for paper presentations as well as other pertinent session ideas. All proposals must be original and directly relevant to technical communication. Some of the topic categories you may want to consider include:
- Applying research and theory to practice
- Content management
- Corporate knowledge
- Designing and assessing user experiences
- Developing and delivering content
- Developing your skills and promoting your profession
- Globalisation, localisation, and translation
- Information design and architecture
- Managing people, projects, and business
- Producing and publishing information
- Web 2.0
- Writing and Editing
All proposals must be in the following format:
- Title - Clear title to match your proposal content.
- Objectives - Key session objectives.
- Intended Audience - Primary audience for the session (beginners, experienced, experts, managers, all).
- Description - Detailed description of the proposal in no more than 200 words. The proposed session should not take more than 45 minutes, including fielding questions from the audience.
The last date to receive proposals is July 2, 2007.
If your proposal is selected for presentation at the conference, you will be notified by July 27, 2007. You will need to submit your final presentation, paper, materials or session plan by September 24, 2007.
You may submit one or more proposals either individually or as a team. Selected conference presenters will be able to register for the conference at a special discounted rate. A session can have a maximum of two presenters.
