On behalf of Society for Technical Communication, I visited Indian Institute of Journalism and New Media (IIJNM). In fact, four of us from the STC India chapter admin council (including Gururaj, Manju S, and Michelle) visited the institute. The objective of the visit was to expose students pursuing journalism to the field called technical writing. Each of us from the admin council who went there took turns to talk about what is technical writing, tech writing examples, STC and STC salary survey. In the end, we also organized a contest and gave away prizes. The prizes were given away by Edwin Skau. Overall, it was a very nice experience. The IIJNM campus was really good.
