This feature has existed for a long time now, but i only had the time very recently to actually muck around netbeans and see where i could configure this stuff. The highlighted braces by default are green in color. This did not look very appealing to me. I wanted light colors on my IDE but i didnt know where to go and configure the color (though i knew netbeans was a great IDE so i always knew it would allow me to do it..)

Finally today morning, i downloaded the latest netbeans build and installed it. Determined to change the color today (just out of curiosity rather than hatred) , i went to tools->options->fonts & colors ->highlighting->Braces Matching(match). Cool.. Just the way i wanted it.. ;)
