Expedia comes to India
Expedia is starting its indian operations at expedia.co.in. This should be very interesting and very useful. I have heard many people say that expedia has been very useful in comparing and booking flight tickets and hotels. Hopefully, expedia's indian website should also be able to offer a comprehensive search suite and hopefully a better one when compared to sites like makemytrip or yatra. Today i also came across a new indian site called flightraja . You can not only book hotels, air tickets or rent cars, but it also helps you book bus tickets from multiple bus service operators. Finally, the online travel market has begun to see some good and quality competition in India. Booking tickets online has never been more easier for Indian travellers and you can finally look forward to saying good bye to long queues at the reservation counter.
On a related note, hopefully, irctc(online train reservation) will take a note of this, and try to improve the quality of website in a number of areas such as usability of website, faster load times, prevent java exceptions being thrown in the website, time-outs while making payment etc..
Try cleartrip.com for a travel site that really works. THey also have a rail search facility which is great,
but can't book yet which is a pain. Understand they are launching international flights soon which will be even better.

I have been using flight raja for all my domestic flights for quite sometime.Touch wood
till date it has worked out well and i had been able to save couple of thousands each time
compared to the other websites.(i tried yatra also).Flight raja customer service was also
helpful once when i had trouble in group booking.Got to see if they will sustain their
goodwill.

This is in reference with my recent experience with Flight Raja, During reconciliation of transactions for my credit card statements at the end of financial year, I found many transactions were not executed by me. The statement was showing charges as “FLIGHTRAJA”. While contacting Flight Raja, I found the details about the transactions. It was showing the details of passengers, out of which none of them is executed by me or any of the transactions showing my name.
I contact my bank regarding the matter above, they suggests me to contact Flight Raja directly as the transactions was executed at Flight Raja.
Further I contacted M/s Flight Raja Travels Pvt. Ltd. several times last month, but there is no response to my communications at all.
While talking to Manager, he straight away told me that we are doing Business and we are not responsible for your credit card being misuse on our site. If you would like to get refund for your transactions contact your Bank.
This means that this company is cheating and beware of using your credit card on such sites!!!
