I was browsing through my iGoogle home page when suddenly the whole look and feel of my page changed.. and surprise of surprises some body else's igoogle account came into display. The person's name was somebody called kelly moyer and from what i could get from the google home page, the person resides in the bay area in US. I couldnt resist putting a snapshot of it over here. Update: This seems to be a recurring problem. Right now i have some one with an email address misc23@gmail.com as my home page

Comments:

Me too. A Shift-Reload normally clears it up. But this is annoying.

Happened to me three times over the weekend. I captured the users' exposed email addresses and reported the issue to security@google.com. Other than an auto-response, I haven't heard back.

So much for security!! Thankfully it was my emails that showed up on my google email widget rather than the emails of the other person.

Had this exact same problem a few months ago. Google told me it wasn't possible.

Woohoo! My Google homepage is famous. :-)

I have had the same problem, and I believe I first noticed it occurring toward the tail end of 2007. My guess (and this is coming from somebody with no network expertise, so take it with a gigantic grain of salt) is that it's an artifact of caching somewhere internal to our network, as every identifiable name I have seen has matched a coworker.

As for the personal data, while I have seen a lot of other people's general page layouts, it has consistently shown my data whenever there was a box where that was appropriate (e.g. gmail, group names, etcetera). So while there is clearly a security issue, the amount of information at risk doesn't appear to be high, nor does it appear to be deeply personal.

Me too! Lost my page on igoogle and can't get it back wtf?

This seems to be the simplest fix: online on your homepage click on gmail. The correct page should appear for gmail. Then on the left side of the toolbar, click on web. That will either bring up your home page, or look on the right side of the toolbar, and click iGoogle.

I have been wrestling with this for days. I have no idea why things inside change when I turn off the computer, but this is the fix I'll use until I understand it better.

Good luck

And their chromium is even worse and there is nobody home to answer ? or emails to google support I'm about to ditch the internet all together. So far I haven't found anybodies personalized web pages that works right NONE OF THEM. I Still cant find my firefox page and haven't heard from them either. I guess that's what you get for free on the world wide web.
