Indiana University Tour '08 - Unisinos
Today we started the Indiana University Tour '08, that consist basically in a series of tech-talks about the Indiana in some University in Porto Alegre and near cities. The first one was the Unisinos that are located in São Leopoldo, 34 km from Porto Alegre's downtown.
I'm conduct the talk and Ronaldo made some explanations of the new OpenSolaris. We showed some screen-shots and in the end of talk we demonstrate the 2008.05 running in a live usb. Everybody like that saw, apparently, and some people said that will subscribe to our mailing-list.
Very good for the first day.

Indiana launched!
Finally the May 5 coming, the Indiana or OpenSolaris 2008.05 was launched. I just talked about the features of new version last week, and you can read here. But I will repeat, that I'm was very impressed with the "Device Driver Utility". In my opinion this tool will help to increase the number of users a lot.
A few moments a go (now it's 4:00am in Brazil), finished a live training session about the OpenSolaris 2008.05. It was a great opportunity for solved the last doubts of new version. Around 16 ambassadors participated the session. And the most of them are Braziliam
Participated myself, Pedro from Rio de Janeiro, Silveira from Fortaleza, Marcelo Arbore, Larissa and Levi (sorry if I forgot someone). Participated too guys from Chile, Colombia, Germany and so on. The center point of the session is to show the new version of OpenSolaris, show the install process and as I said, solve the last doubts.
Now it's time to prepare the material and show to the rest of PoaOSUG the new OpenSolaris. And to done the talks that are schedule in during this week. In total there are 4 talks schedule until May 7. You can see the schedule of the talks here.
Coming soon for the results...
