Usually, the cart comes after the horse... While I was surfing around the web yesterday, I ran into this press release from the Eclipse Foundation about Callisto. I skimmed through it, looking for the link that points to the download page, but it wasn't there.

So, I went to the Callisto page. There wasn't a download link there, either.

So, I queried blogsearch.google.com to see what was up. I saw this entry, that said that I would be able to get the bits around 16:00 CET....

While the bits aren't there yet, I am sure the folks associated with the Foundation will get them staged and accessible before 23:59:59.99999 Pacific/Midway. But they should really ask Mr. Milinkovich and Mr. Skerrett what they were thinking when they decided [press] release before [bits] release. (2006-06-30 09:41:59.0) Permalink Comments [1]

It looks like EF was able to get the Callisto bits released close to the scheduled time. I am still a bit surpised they would press release first and provide the bits later.
