So just when you think all is well, you get slashdotted. Yes, I should know better. I do know better. As I mentioned in previous posts, I put up blogs.sun.com hoping it would become popular, but essentially built the server "on the side".
Then Jonathan Schwartz decides to start blogging, and things take off. I threw a little more hardware at the problem, but frankly, I have a day job (running lots of other sun.com web properties). John Hoffmann and I would work on blogs.sun.com in our spare time.
It bit us again today. Jonathan posted about the new niagra processors and slashdot picked it up. This morning when I came in, it was ugly. I've only seen email like that once before, and it was bad then...
Well, the great news is that I finally have someone dedicated to working on blogs.sun.com. Things are starting to get better already, and will improve rather dramatically over the next month.
