Through a sea of mediocre crime dramas and preposterous "reality" shows comes a new, refreshing, and original TV show. I'm talking about My Name Is Earl (on NBC, Tuesday Nights at 9pm.) Maybe its because I enjoy Jason Lee's quirky lead character Earl. You might remember Jason from such power house movies as Kevin Smith's Chasing Amy, Dogma, or my personal favorite Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back. Or maybe its Earl's simpleton brother Randy (played by Ethan Suplee), or even Earl's voluptuous ex-wife Joy (played by Jamie Pressly). Well, whatever the reason, its one of those shows you shouldn't miss. |
