That's the story of Microsoft claiming Adobe wants PDF out of MS Office. Personally I think this smacks of Microsoft trying to position PDF as proprietary as a step in the file formats wars, ready for XPS to ride on in shining armour.

Great reminder from Ted that open source is a meritocracy not a democracy. I continue to assert that governance, not license, is the key to openness in open source.
