One of my recommendations to neuter software patents is that all patents violated by a bona fides implementation of an international standard should be inapplicable unless declared in the standards process. This case supports the idea.

Let's hope this shakes up the US airline market in a good way. The service and standards on the existing carriers are so low that Virgin stands to take over if they can sustain this sort of customer experience.
