Novell just created an interim Board for OpenSuSE - a good thing. It has a majority of Novell employees on it, something I have advised Sun against every time we've done this.

OpenOffice.org is getting PDF/A support (that's archive-standard PDF). Another reason it's the ideal tool for archivists.
