Regarding "OpenOffice vs. Google Apps" I think the author, as pointed out in the comments, missed the point where Google Apps is superior, namely collaboration. However, Sun could make a big difference endorsing a system set up by ISP's providing Sun Rays services to the public and letting users connect via something like the Gobi 8. It could be a real killer SaaS...
