Another total eclipse. This one will happen in daylight hours in the UK, but looks well timed for Australia where it happens just after sunset Sydney time. It's just before dawn in North America.

The naming of this particular model in the i.Beat range shows that you can never get too much advice from naming specialists. Unless, of course, this was actually named by one.

Hi, Simon. Any way you can offer a feed without these link dumps? I like reading your blog but more often than not I'm just clicking on your feed in Google Reader to clear it out of these things. Sporadic posting is fine, that's what feed readers are for. Link posts make it more work.

I don't think there's a way, no, not without losing them completely from the blog - and I actually get numerous comments from people who appreciate them, as well as the occasional "please lose them" comment.
Is it links in general you don't like, or a specific class of link? In the list above, for example, the first and third are related to ongoing conversations I'm participating in, while the second is just for interest.

Thanks, Simon. I think it's the links in general. At first I'd scan through them and follow a few (your brief comments helped with selecting links of interest). Although you have good links, I already have a surplus of reading material so I stopped considering them.
