Seems a pretty good list, and the #1 threat is spot on.

The real point, of course, was exactly to make sure that Sun couldn't keep the market it had created a place safe from domination by huge companies. That's why it's leaders criticise Sun at every opportunity, justly or not.

Delicious parody of the sort of uninformed speculation articles that seem so popular these days on Slashdot.

#1 may be spot on, but I don't like the wording, "The most tragic thing about DRM is that it's alienating ethical people who would otherwise pay to download songs, but who resent the restrictions that these songs come with."
The implication is that it is unethical to download songs. This conflates copyright law in the certain jurisdictions (including the United States) with morality. Moreover, I fail to see how it is a "tragedy". "Ironic" might be a better description, no?

The third link is hilarious, especially in the context of your second link.
In other words, let's first link to a stupid conspiracy theory, then add some comment nonsense that makes it sound like you agree and have inside knowledge to it being fair. Then immediately link to how many stupid theories there are out there.
Hilarious, keep it up!

@Don: Should I treat that as criticism of Sun, Dom ;-)
BTW, you never commented on my CSS keynote - I was rather hoping you'd say how disappointed you were that I didn't lay into Eclipse... :-)

Did you link to your Software Summit Keynote? I did miss that, I will have to look because I'd love to have the slides :)
It really was a fantastic keynote, well done and on an incredibly important topic. And in case it's not clear, no sarcasm intended.
