It's no secret that new Niagara based Sun Fire T2000s along with Solaris 10 Containers are helping to consolidate the web infrastructure, significantly reducing data center complexity and power consumption as well.
This Sun blueprint article titled Deploying Sun Java Enterprise System on the Sun Fire T2000 Server using Solaris Containers demonstrates end-to-end deployment of Java ES Web Server is deployed along with the Directory Server, Access Manager, Portal Server as well as Messaging Server and Calender Server and Communications Express services on Sun Fire T2000 server leveraging Solaris 10 containers.
This article discusses how to consolidate enterprise infrastructure services onto a single Sun Fire T2000 server using Java ES software. Performance tests show that deploying the Java ES using Solaris Containers can support nearly three times the number of users supported by a deployment that does not use Solaris Containers.
I thought it's very nice, read the article here.
