Web Stack 1.5 release, fully relocatable distribution with an update tool.

One of the nice things about Web Stack 1.5 release we
said was that it's fully reloctable - that it can be installed any
number of locations on a given system, with our without superuser
(root) privileges. Unlike our default native package distribution (SVR4
packages or the RPMs), this fully relocatable web stack distribution is
built with a cross-platform version of the OpenSolaris image packaging
sysem IPS/pkg(5).

Open Solaris Web Stack released

With the launch of Solaris Express Developer Edition (SXDE 01/08), we
now have an integrated a stack of popular open source web tier
technologies, including Apache, PHP, MySQL, Squid proxy etc. 

There is a whole bunch of web stuff to try and experience in SXDE 01/08.

The stack is being built in open source on http://opensolaris.org/os/project/webstack/.
