Hi,
A lot of people have raised pretty quickly the question of how the sizing looks for VDI 3. The engineering team hasn't been able to complete this information by the release date, end of March. However, in the meantime we have been busy getting the information together. The goal of this sizing guide was to get statements around question: 'How much gear do I need in order to serve a 1000 desktops?'
We've put the initial information on the VDI Wiki, summarize under the Deployment Guide.
Have fun,
-Dirk

Owch- why do the secondaries vdi cores have to be so huge?

Kangcool,
We have used big boxes for the sizing, just for simple load generation. I real life deployments I suggest to use much smaller boxes. Important it the number of sessions per core.

What would be the number of sessions per core? Also, do you have to have these servers physical or can they be virtual?
Thank you!

Vitaly,
we recommend to run the VDI core hosts physical. The deployment guide provides more data on sessions per core/RAM
