Acrylic on Canvas - Spring walk in the park
Finished this painting during the spring break. I took the whole week off while my son was at home.

Acrylic on Canvas - Old boat in the dock
I finished this painting during the holidays. This is also based on instructions by Jerry Yarnell. My wife is the first critic of my paintings. Did I say that it all started with a paint set she bought for my birthday. According to her, this painting has two faults. The mast house is too big compared to the size of the boat and the red line around the boat is too bright and even. I agree to her comments, but too lazy to correct and left them as such. Also you would notice that I didn't bother to show the reflection of the boat.

Another acrylic painting - Winter Wonderland
While we were busy with the Sun Java Studio Creator performance fixes, to keep my sanity I started this acrylic painting. This is my fourth attempt to do the acrylic painting. This is again based on instructions by Jerry Yarnell.

Acrylic on canvas - Evening flight in the marshland
Recently I finished this acrylic painting. This is my third attempt to do the acrylic painting. This is again based on instructions by Jerry Yarnell. I took this instruction mainly to learn the fine blending required to highlight the evening yellowness from the horizon towards dark sky above and darker waters of the near view.

My second acrylic painting attempt - Water Fall View
This is my second attempt to do another acrylic painting (using Jerry Yarnell instructions). As you can see, I'm still trying to get the hang of it. But enjoyed every moment of stroking the canvas with different colors.

First Acrylic Canvas Painting - Old Church View
Since I found, using oil on canvas is too tedious for me, I decide to swicth to acrylic. This is my first attempt to paint using acrylics on canvas. This time, I used the instructions from the book Painting Basics by Jerry Yarnell. Unlike Oil painting, acrylic dries faster. This is an added advantage for me, as I don't have to wait for days before start painting over an area I already painted.

Oil on Canvas painting - mountain vista
Once in a while it is nice to take a break from busy office work and relax doing something different. This is my first attempt to do an oil on canvas using wet on wet technique. I took the instructions from the book Joy of painting by Bob Ross. Oil painting takes too long to dry. Probably I'll try my next painting with acrylic
