Acrylic on Canvas - Old boat in the dock

I finished this painting during the holidays. This is also based on instructions by Jerry Yarnell. My wife is the first critic of my paintings. Did I say that it all started with a paint set she bought for my birthday. According to her, this painting has two faults. The mast house is too big compared to the size of the boat and the red line around the boat is too bright and even. I agree to her comments, but too lazy to correct and left them as such. Also you would notice that I didn't bother to show the reflection of the boat.

This is great stuff Winston, and its showing several techniques which suggest a real evolution of skill: The subtle hues from the underpainting, distant details are subtle, but crests on the nearby waves are almost tactile...I wonder if acrylic might just be Your Medium? Nice stuff.
