First Acrylic Canvas Painting - Old Church View

Since I found, using oil on canvas  is too tedious for me, I decide to swicth to acrylic. This is my first attempt to paint using acrylics on canvas. This time, I used the instructions from the book Painting Basics by Jerry Yarnell. Unlike Oil painting, acrylic dries faster. This is an added advantage for me, as I don't have to wait for days before start painting over an area I already painted.

Comments:

I came accross this piece as i was trying to find different ways of painting on canvas. Honestly I think you have donw i really good job on this. I am working on my GCSE's at the moment in Art and doing my final piece of work on canvas. This is my first attempt and i am using acrylics, and i must say you have done a much better job. I love how you have done the water, do you think you could give few tips? keep up your amazing work

Thanks Rachel. But I'm totally new to acrylic painting and hardly can give tips to others :). I would suggest you to take a look at http://www.yarnellart.com/. I have couple of his books and looked at his videos also, which were useful.

Hmm Looks like someone with synaptic disorder painted this. I'd give the owner of this brain 6 months to live at most, given the advanced stage of their disease
