Netbeans 6.0 Preview is available for download

Netbeans 6.0 Preview is available for download. Visit Milestone News and Note worthy Page for details on new features in this release.

I installed Netbeans 6.0 M9 and i don't see C/C++ plugin pack. Will Netbeans support C/C++ development in later milestones? Thanks, Oleg

I installed and it doesnt work when i tried to create new web java server faces project (vwp ?)... also, it need more effort to install tomcat server step by step ... why tomcat is not included in this bundle ? i prefer tomcat instead sun app server :)

I was very disappointed to find out that visual portlet development was being removed as a feature in NetBeans 6. Is this going to be in a future addon or plugin?

Unfortunately, visual portlet may not be available for NB 6. But there are plans to make it available as plugin later.

I'm agree that Netbeans 6.0 M9 has really great improvement because of the new included modules. But, like Adwin, I also looked for Tomcat and couldn't find it. Hopefully it will be included again in the next milestone.

To me without the portlet capability NB6 is a pointless release. This is the only feature that could convince our team to move away from IntelliJ.
