Netbeans 6.0 Beta1 has been released

Today netbeans.org announced that it has released Netbeans Beta1.

It can be downloaded from the page

http://www.netbeans.org/community/releases/60/index.html

The News and Note Worthy in this release can be found at the wiki page

http://wiki.netbeans.org/wiki/view/NewAndNoteWorthy

From this NB 6.0 release onwards, to create or work with a J2EE 1.4 Visual Web project which will be deployed to a 1.4 J2EE application server, first you need to install the Visual Web JSF Backwards Compatibility Kit plugin. You can find the details at News and Note Worthy mentioned above.

Comments:

What happened to the plugin for plain old WWW projects. I can not add a www folder as a project anymore. Does the plugin need to be rebuilt for beta1 or has the functionality been rolled into another plugin. I was really enjoying the HTML editing in the nightlies but now it seems gone.
