Radia Perlman Honored by CSO Magazine
We have another fabulous & inspiring Sun Woman to recognize on our group blog today!
Radia Perlman
Radia Perlman, often referred to as the Mother of the Internet, is being honored by
CSO Magazine as a top Female Information Security Leader.
A prolific inventor, who holds 80 patents and has another 15 pending, many of which
contribute
to the field of network security, Radia is a distinguished engineer at Sun in
Menlo Park, Calif.
Boy, do we miss Radia being based with Sun in the Boston area! She was always a great speaker ---
and very inspiring -- when she'd offer her time to meet with Sun's Boston area women's group.
As a matter of fact, whenever we host MassWIT events, someone always brings up her
presentation on network security -- which had to have been at least 2-3 years ago!
Note to Radia: whenever you are back east and have an hour to spare, let us know so we can
schedule a networking session. We'd love to see you again!
