During one's lifetime, friends could be one of the things that could change your personality greatly. That's why a friend should be the right person that matches you properly. What do you consider the most important personality for a friend? A friend who is smart or intelligent? A friend who has a sense of humor? Or someone who is reliable? From those above, I consider that a reliable and trustworthy friend is better than anything else.
The first reason is that a trustful friend could be the most helpful person inside school or work. For example, let's consider that you've gotten into big trouble because your teacher has misunderstood a situation. If one of your friends is reliable, he or she can at least support you and explain the situation to the teacher. This act cannot be done if a friend is smart or funny. Through your trustful friend, you will be able to feel more comfortable than anyone else inside the school or work.
Secondly, a friendship cannot continue unless friends trust each other. Fights between friends occur when they misunderstand and distrust each other. A friendship can be broken easily because of that. Sometimes, you might feel a little bit jealous of your smart or funny friend. However, when you and your friend believe in each other, a relationship can last forever. Trustful and reliable friends can be the real friends who can really change your life. No matter how bright or humorous your friend is, a trustworthy friend and your friendship could last longer than any other friends.
In conclusion, I would state again that I want a reliable and trustful personality most in my friend. In order to be comfortable in school life, also to encourage your friendship to last longer than anyone else, I consider that your friend being reliable is the most significant thing.
