Road to Netbeans (Nov 7)
The posters have been put up!! 18 pages cost $28.8, ($1.5/page). Good! If you did not print your poster, you can not feel its beauty and excitement. Thanks Jannifer, it looks really good. Wanda and Angela, This item is under the budget.... :) I leaved 3 pages, which will be put up on the door of presentation's classroom on that day.
Somebody needs my advice. I think something I have done should be a little hint to my colleagues latter, so paste them here.
I still need to set up my VPN to create the blog and I cannot download it from the Software Library (is that where we should get it from?) since it does not let me log in with my sunID and Ldap password. Is that what you used to login?
I remember that I did not use VPN to access into internal@sun. Jannifer mailed me the token card, which could enable you to access into internal networks @sun. I can not get the mean of the Software Library you mentioned. You have two choice to set up your sun blog, external or internal. External. I set up an external blog. If you also wanna set up an external one, just do it as the instruction in Educommon. In my opinion, Get in internal@sun firstly!
I can see that you've already done so much in creating a user group in your university, I hope you can provide me some inputs on how you stated it and give me some advise on the upcoming presentation.
About user group and presentation, actually I just step on track. I am in rush hour in prepartion for my first presentation on Nov 20TH,2007 :> So just give me some best wishes, and let me feedback you if it will succeed.(It should be succeed). User group? en, firstly I have communicate with the faculty in my department and get their support; Secondly I'll let them know we have Lethbridge Sun Tech User Group, which is an technology oriented and students' themselves, academic group. Some students will be interested in join us. If you wanna get some advices, maybe:
1 Just do it!
2 Stand on students' side!
The final thing I will mention is, user group's building and your presentation's making is a multi-processor. They support each other, they make progress together, they encourage each other, they get strong together. You know what I mean?
And then, hope my first presentaion successful. Good luck to us, SCA folks.
