One of my all time favorite web pages is http://www.javaonthebrain.com/ -- an excellent source of small Java applets that all worked out-of-the-box (uncommon for the time). This used to be by far the most frequently accessed page at Uppsala University during early 90s, and, interestingly, I still remember that catchy home page title: J*va on the Brain.

In 2009, over 15 years later, it is pretty amusing to read the first paragraph of Karl's wonderful page:

Why the asterisk? Because Sun Microsystems, Inc. does not allow third-party sites to use the word "Java" in the title. There is no such restriction for domain names, however.

Working with various aspects of parallelism on a daily basis is the inspiration for this blog -- Parallelism on the Brain. Chances are low that this blog will be amazingly popular like Karl's home page, but there are plenty of things on my brain that I hope you will find useful as well. So stay tuned...
